Third Door Media on Inc. 5000 list

Congratulations to Third Door Media, parent company of Search Marketing Now, for making the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in America. Here’s an excerpt from the press release:

Third Door Media, Inc. has been named to the 2011 Inc. Magazine list of the 5000 fastest growing private American companies. Founded in 2006, Third Door Media serves internet marketers with information products and provides marketing services to industry vendors.

Inc. Magazine ranked companies according to percentage revenue growth from 2007 through 2010. Third Door Media was in the top 35% of companies ranked and reported revenue growth of 117% during the period.

Third Door Media’s properties include Search Engine Land, the leading news and analysis blog for Search Engine marketers. Search Engine Land attracts approximately 900,000 visitors each month and is the top search marketing resource listed on the Ad Age Power 150 ranking of online marketing publications.

The company also produces Search Marketing Expo – SMX conferences in 12 locations around the world, and connects buyers and sellers of internet marketing products and services with innovative lead generation programs offered by its Search Marketing Now brand.

“We started Third Door Media and then the economy tanked, so we’re thrilled to have not only survived but to have thrived so well as to make the Inc. list,” said Danny Sullivan, a founding partner and the chief content officer at Third Door Media. “We have a hard-working, talented team that does an outstanding job for the people who matter – our customers – whether they are readers, conference attendees or marketing services clients. They depend on us to provide a quality product. Delivering that is how we succeed,” Sullivan added.

“We’re proud to have made the Inc. 5000, and it is gratifying to see so many of our marketing services clients on this year’s list, including Covario, Slingshot SEO, Orange Soda, eZanga, R2integrated, Wpromote, and Bruce Clay, Inc., to name a few,” said Chris Elwell, co-founder and president of Third Door Media.
