Many sites and publishers had been mauled by Google’s Panda and then in April 2012 a rash of Panda and other updates culminated in the Mother of All updates; the Penguin. This time, unlike the Panda updates, the Penguin focus seemed to be on offsite (links) as well as on site factors. Originally known as the ‘web spam’ update, it deals with practices Google deems to be outside of their quality guidelines.
Some of the areas we’ll be covering include:
- Manual and Algorithmic ranking losses
- Differentiating Penguin, Panda or other recent algo changes
- Tips on changes to your website and content that have been successful in relieving the effects of these changes to the Google Algorithms
- How to do Link building post Panda and Penguin
